Admission Details

Greetings from Venkat International School.

Thank you for showing interest in our school. We welcome you to join our family by completing the admission process. Admission decisions depend on certain criteria which will be decided by the authorities/management. The decision may depend on the child’s age or the meeting with the parents or the seats availability etc.

Admission to school

General Information

The registration of the names of the candidates is necessary for the admission but that does not guarantee seats in the respective classes. The capability of the candidate is thoroughly tested before giving them an admission which is done through an “entrance test”. Other things that are necessary are- medical fitness test conducted by the school, production of the required original certificates, subject to the availibity of the seats. At the time of submitting the completed admission form, the photo copies of the birth certificate and T.C from the school last attended, countersigned by the Education department and caste certificate (if applicable) must be submitted along with the latest mark card. Candidates coming from outside the state of Karnataka should also get an endorsement from the Educational department in that state.

Admission to nursery classes

It is normally expected that children seeking the admission to Junior Nursery Class (LKG) should complete the age of 3 years and 5 months at the time of admission or on the reopening day of schools or on 1st of June. Children seeking admission to Senior Nursery Class (UKG) are normally expected to complete the age of 4 years 5 months at the time of admission or on the reopening day of schools or on 1st of June. Parents are advised to contact the Principal or the school authorities for any relevant information, well in advance. It is advised to register the names of your ward seeking admission in LKG or UKG during the month of October/November.

Admission to standard 1

A pupil who is promoted from UKG to standard 1 (an outsider or a student studying in the same school) is required to apply for fresh admission for entry into standard 1 for the next academic year. The admission formalities must be fulfilled during the second week of May. For student promoted from UKG to standard 1 in the school, fresh application forms at the office are a mere formality. Admission fee is not applicable for VIS students.

Reporting

You are required to be present along with your pupil, on the re-opening day. Identity card is to be produced at the reception, where you will be given further instruction. This will be issued only after all the fees are settled.

School rules/Instructions:

VIS is one of the most prestigious schools in the city hence in order to maintain such high standards the set rules are to be followed strictly. In order to ensure safety and health of all the students newly admitted students are to be inoculated by TABC and doctor’s certificate is to be produced for the same. Usually, inoculation is followed by fever hence it should be done at-least ten days before the reporting day

The declaration form is to be filled and returned to the office duly signed.

All the books should be arranged on or before 10th of May. The books are to be covered and labeled before they brought to school. In order to ensure the safety of the property, all the articles belonging to the student should bear identification marks.

The transfer certificate from the previous school is to be signed by the Assistant Education Officer/ Deputy Director. Also get 2 copies of photograph of your ward in school uniform.

Montessori & LKG

Boys: Blue denim jeans dungaree, navy blue and red-stripped t-shirt, red V-neck jersey, brown leather shoes, navy socks with red and white stripes.

Girls: Blue denim jeans dungaree skirt, navy blue and red-stripped t-shirt, red V-neck jersey, brown leather shoes, navy socks with red and white stripes and red ribbons.

Class 1-5

Boys: Fawn color shorts, cream color half sleeves shirt, cream, green and red striped tie, bottle green V-neck jersey, brown leather belt and shoes, fawn color socks.

Girls: Fawn color pinafore, cream color half sleeves shirt, cream, green and red striped tie, bottle green V-neck jersey, brown leather belt and shoes, fawn color socks, cream color ribbons.

Class 6-8

Boys: Fawn color trousers, cream color half sleeves shirt, cream, green and red striped tie, fawn color waist-coat, bottle green V-neck jersey, bottle green blazer, brown leather belt and shoes, fawn color socks.

Girls: : Fawn color skirt, cream color half sleeves shirt, cream, green and red striped tie, fawn color waist-coat, bottle green V-neck jersey, bottle green sweater, bottle green blazer, brown leather belt and shoes, fawn color socks, cream color ribbons.

Note:

Students are allowed to use the school phone only in the case of emergency. The use of school phone is not permitted in other cases. Parents are requested to call there ward only when it is of high importance, otherwise they can leave a message at the reception.

Children should not wear valuable ornaments to school.

Inability to wear neat and full uniform will be met with appropriate but strict action.
